(WJHL) Park officials say a pilot survived a small plane crash Friday in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A North Carolina man was never found after he was reported missing a month prior. A pickup truck ran off the road near the Appalachian Club in Elkmont. It crashed a little before 6pm at about 6,000 feet. They were later confirmed to be the remains of a man who had been missing since September. A motorcycle passenger was killed when they crashed into a CCC bus. An example of this is at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
